£200,000 of plant equipment stolen

£200,000 pounds worth of plant equipment has been stolen from a site in Lichfield.

Between 5.30pm on Tuesday (5 March) and 6.30am on Wednesday (6 March), a demolition site’s metal fencing was cut down at Packington Hall on Tamworth Road.

Seven items of plant equipment, weighing between two and six tonnes, were then lifted onto a flatbed rigid HGV lorry using specialist equipment before making off towards Lichfield down the A51 past Whittington Barracks.

One item was left behind at the demolition site. Detectives are particularly interested to hear from anyone who may have come across any plant equipment with the same serial number as the one on the item left behind.

Anyone who has any information or anyone that may have seen the lorry or has come across the plant equipment is asked to email Howard.Davies@staffordshire.pnn.police.uk.
