CCTV appeal: Burton theft

Police in Burton have released a photo of a man they want to speak to after a stolen bank card was used in a local shop.

In the early hours of Saturday 25 August, a handbag and bank cards were stolen from a Citreon Picasso parked on Thorntree Lane, Burton.

Later that morning at 4.21am, one of the bank cards was used at the nearby Tesco store on St Peter’s Bridge and the suspect was caught on CCTV.

Enquiries are on-going, and officers would like to speak to anyone who recognises the man or saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area.

Anyone with any information is asked to contact Staffordshire Police by emailing john.picken@staffordshire.pnn.police.uk and quoting incident number 231 of 25 August.

Alternatively contact the independent charity Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
