Woman hurt in dog bite incident

An investigation is underway - to find the owners of a dog that bit a woman and left her needing hospital treatment in Swadlincote.

It happened at around midday on Sunday during the town's Festival of Transport near Sharpe’s Pottery.

The incident is being dealt with by PC Joe Stafford who would like to talk to anyone who witnessed the incident or knows the couple in the image.

Joe said “ The incident was worrying for the victim and could have been even more serious if the victim had been a young child.

“We are keen to speak to the owners of the dog and would ask if anyone witnessed the incident or knows the couple in the image, to make contact with me.

“I realise the image is not the best quality but it may jog someone’s memory to recognise the couple as being the owners of this type of dog.”

If you think you can help please make contact with Joe using any of the following contact methods, quoting reference number 19*241785:
